nope, you should have gently brushed it up with ur wet sponge after installation.
BUT, you could use a very fine sandpaper, you did say ur tile was semi-porous. So using 400- 500 grit sandpaper will be fine.

The tile first to make sure it doesnt scratch the tile if it does try stiff scrubbing brush but id try on spare tile first to make sure it doesnt scratch the tile first to make.
